Make your own air freshener

A lovely spray for the winter season.  A clean and natural scent made from essential oils.

In a spray bottle combine 4 oz of water 12 drops of sweet orange essential oil, 6 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and 6 drops of pine essential oil.  Shake and mix well, spray as desired around the house.

It is just lovely smelling.  Always remember when using essential oils they are strong and must be diluted with water.

Simple Christmas Treat...

I am posting this a tad bit late in the holiday system but I was being lazy about figuring out what I was going to bring to the holiday part potluck tomorrow. I decided to create something easy and fun. I went to the store and picked up some two bite brownies, light hershey's chocolate syrup and candy cane kisses.

First step was to take the two bite brownies and put them on a cook sheet.  Drizzle them with the hersheys syrup.  Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.

Top each of the brownies with a hershey candy cane kiss and put in the oven to melt the candies.  When they are soft just touch the tip of the kiss with your finger so that the point will go down and let it bake a bit more.
They will melt down.  These are too good.  The normally dry two bite brownies turn nice and gooey between being warmed and the chocolate syrup absorbing in.  The candy cane chocolates give it a bit of a minty flavor.  I am hoping that these are going to be as good tomorrow as they were straight out of the oven.

The Great UGLee Pen! and Giveaway

UGLee Ergonomic Pen

As part of my weight loss journey I have been keeping a detailed weight loss diary which includes things from what I ate for the day and how many points plus they were to recipes and how I was feeling when I reached for that snack.  Well lets just say some days that is a lot of writing.  I have dedicated my UGLee Pen as my journal pen.

I use the pen everyday; well that is if I am behaving and doing what I know I need to do, and I love it.  The pen is the perfect size for my hand, not too round and not to thin.  Sometimes when I spend the time to write a recipe my hand will hurt after from to much writing (I have poor form when holding writing utensils.)  The ink on the three pens I got where fluid and wrote well.  The pen is fairly true to name, all though it has glitter in the jelly part it is not the cutest pen on the market.

I will always have one of these pens around especially when I have a something that I will be putting in a lot of handwriting.
